Holes In One (introduction)
One of the most exciting events in a golfer's experience is the rare Hole in One.
On these pages we honour those who have felt that joy at our wonderful golf course. The lists will inevitably have omissions where the historical records were incomplete or inaccurate. As time goes by we try very hard to acquire all of the missing aces.
Among the many who have multiple Aces, you will notice some remarkable achievements. Here are a few:
- the 2009 Club Captain, Roy Pinsent, played for 34 years without a single ACE, and then in one glorious month in 2002 he rolled in two beauties;
- in the past 15 years, Ray Schmidt, has sweet-spotted an amazing six Aces here. He certainly owns three of our five Par 3 holes. Ray plays on and don't bet against him scoring Aces on the 8th and 17th to round out his collection;
- and how about Ruby Zaklan? She beat odds of 1 in 67 million to score two Aces in the same round of golf. On April 10, 2006 Ruby impressed every golfer in the world by scoring singles on the 9th and the 17th. Absolutely amazing! But those were only her second and third! You'll also see Ruby's name adorning the 2003 honour roll.
There is no record in the current documentation of anyone achieving a hole in one on our reachable par 4 --- Hole # 2. Someday? Perhaps it will be you!!!!
Please have fun looking for your friends in the following pages. Or, if like most of us, you just can't seem to get an Ace, well then you just might want to switch your name to become one that you find on this list!!!!
