This lengthy dogleg is the most demanding par five on the course and yields few birdies.
The tee shot must be precise as bunkers frame the right side and trees border the left side. A drive hit into the trees on the left will virtually eliminate the opportunity of advancing a second shot within 200 yards of the green.
The second should be placed down the left side to allow the best angle to the green. Placing the ball in position for a full swing third shot will give a better opportunity to hold the green.
The approach to the green is very demanding to almost any pin position. The front is a very small tier that features a punishing bunker on the right and, perhaps, more penalizing grass bunkers on the left. Should the pin be on the shallow back tier, the shot must be played over the bunker to a surface that drops off sharply at the back. Club selection and distance control with the approach are crucial to success. Be very happy with a five on the difficult 6th hole.
